STEAM...Just an acronym?

Your #STEAMByte for the week...

Many teachers have heard of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) but fewer have heard of STEAM (with art) or STREAM (with reading) or even HAMSTER (with Humanities). STEAM is not a form of teaching which is strictly teaching with the subjects in the acronym. Instead it is a transdisciplinary approach to teaching content and skills which incorporates all subject areas.  Don't worry...we're not leaving anyone out!

There are many benefits of this for the students which we'll look at in next week's #STEAMByte.  Each week or so I will post a #STEAMByte with a helpful tidbit or practical tip about STEAM education. If you have questions or want to see something featured, reach out!
